Why?
After suffering Cancer twice, Ayurvedic Medicine has changed the way my system works, enabling me to sustain a full, healthy life. By eating ghee, hard to say herbs and spices, non-homogenised full cream milk, making my own cheese, not eating foods that ferment, stop eating meat, put salt back in my diet and unfortunately giving up on wine, my blood results have proven that what we eat IS who we are. My iron levels increased, the calcium levels improved, my hormones balanced out, my very sluggish lymphatic system took on new life, I lost weight, looked younger and my ESR levels dropped by 15 points.
What is it?
The ancient Indian medical system, also known as Ayurveda, is based on ancient writings that rely on a “natural” and holistic approach to physical and mental health. Ayurvedic medicine is one of the world’s oldest medical systems and remains one of India’s traditional health care systems. Ayurvedic treatment combines products (mainly derived from plants, but may also include animal, metal, and mineral), diet, exercise, and lifestyle.

Are you a Vata, Pitta or Kapha?Vata dosha is formed when prana mixes with the elements air and space. Vata governs all movement. The qualities of Vata are light, dry. airy, quick, and cold. Vata people are very tall or little. They are thin and either tall or short. They have asymmetrical features. When Vata people are in balance, they are creative and easily adaptable. They have a great way with words. When Vata people are out of balance, this leads to fear and anxiety.
(Lisa is) Pitta, heat, is made up of the elements fire and water. Pitta governs digestion, nutrition, metabolism and body temperature. The qualities of Pitta are hot, sour, pungent, sharp and acidic. Pitta people have strong digestion. Their build is athletic. When Pittas are in balance, they are intelligent, cerebral and sharp. When out of balance, they are hot and easily angered. Pittas tend toward rashes.
Kapha which is the flesh body or the mucus body and is made up of the elements earth and water. Kapha is our bones, muscles, teeth and everything dense in our bodies. The qualities of Kapha are slow, steady, heavy, oily, and cold. When Kapha people are in balance, kapha people are loving, nurturing and grounded. When out of balance, they are needy, melancholy and heavy in body and mind.
Meditation
Primordial Sound Meditation is based on primordial sounds, the most basic sounds or vibrations of nature. There are 108 Primordial Sound mantras, all derived from the work of ancient sages, who recorded the vibrations of the universe, all in relation to the position of the moon. When you learn Primordial Sound Meditation, the personal mantra you receive is the sound that the universe was making at the time and place of your birth.
According to the Primordial Sound Meditation tradition, the vibration that took you from non-consciousness into consciousness can also take you back, allowing you to journey from the incessant activity of your mind into silence — into an experience of pure awareness (pure bliss).
